Facet Joint inflammation often causes stiffness in the muscles around the spine and pain when bending or changing positions. Joint inflammation in the neck can be the cause of headaches and shoulder pain. In the thoracic region, Facet Joint inflammation can cause upper back pain, rib pain, chest pain, and shoulder pain.
